What you can do to stay safe:

• Talk to a lawyer: It's a good idea to chat with a lawyer familiar with your country's laws about chaplains and community service. They can give you specific advice.

All CACs participating in the program are considered independent contractors. This means they are not employees of our organization and are not entitled to employee benefits such as health insurance, unemployment compensation, or workers' compensation.

2. Responsibility for Conduct: CACs are solely responsible for their own actions and conduct while serving in the community. Our organization is not liable for any negligent acts, errors, or omissions committed by an CAC in the course of their independent service.

3. Code of Conduct: While CACs are independent contractors, we expect them to adhere to a high standard of professional conduct. A copy of our Code of Conduct for CACs will be provided to all program participants. This code outlines ethical behavior, respect for diverse perspectives, confidentiality, and maintaining appropriate boundaries.

4. Background Checks: All applicants for the CAC program will undergo a background check to ensure suitability for the role.

5. No Guarantee of Placement or Services: Participation in the CAC program does not guarantee placement in a specific role within the community. CACs are responsible for securing their own service opportunities. Additionally, our organization cannot guarantee the quality or outcome of any services provided by CACs.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties: The information and training materials provided in the CAC program are offered "as is" and without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Our organization disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
